Need For Speed Teases Back Again

Need for Speed: The Run has been officially announced by Need for Speed via their official Facebook profile.Earlier this month they have teased the gaming world by releasing NFS:Shift 2 UNLEASHED. Few trailers of the game are posted since then including pursuits and races, which suggests that the new Need for Speed title is action based rather than simulation based. The trailer has also shown a character which might be "JACK", which indicates the game will most likely include a storyline like NFS:MOST WANTED.

The game is scheduled for release on November 15, 2011. The trailer shows that the story is based on a race across the United States from San Francisco to New York. Notable cars seen in the trailer includes the Audi R8 V10, Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Super Snake, Ford Taurus Police Interceptor, BMW M3 GTS, Pagani Zonda, Mazda RX-7, Nissan GT-R, Aston Martin V12 Vantage and Porsche 911.At the end of the trailer, a female voice is heard calling out 'Jack'. So it is likely that the protagonist will have a name or will be named in this franchise.Nfs webWebsite states "It’s called The Run. An illicit, high-stakes race across the country. The only way to get your life back is to be the first from San Francisco to New York. No speed limits. No rules. No allies. All you have are your driving skills and sheer determination as you battle hundreds of the world’s most notorious drivers on the country’s most dangerous roads. In Need for Speed The Run, you’ll weave through dense urban centers, rocket down icy mountain passes and navigate narrow canyons at breakneck speeds, all the while evading a relentless police force prepared – and willing – to use lethal force to take you down."
